SKATE-A-THON

​We're hosting our annual Skate-A-Thon fundraiser on Sunday, May 17, 2026!

 

The purpose of our Skate-A-Thon is to help TRD raise money for practice and gameday space rental as well as travel to away games.

 

Once again we are trading laps on the track for miles on the pavement, as our Skate-A-Thon will be held on the St. Marks Historic Railroad Trail. TRD skaters will attempt to skate all 16 miles from the St. Marks River Trailhead to the Main Trailhead in Tallahassee.

Visit our 99Pledges page to donate to your favorite skater or the league itself.  As we hit different fundraising goals, this is what we will do:

League Total Fundraising Tiers

​

$1000    Skaters will share their favorite "derby fail" photos

$1500    TRD will record relay games and endurance races at practice

$2000    Skaters will arm themselves with squirt guns at a Skate-A-Thon checkpoint

$3000    Hijinks (dancing??) will ensue during the June 20 home game

$4000    GOAL MET!

Skate with Us!​

​

Have your own wheels? Ride a bike, board or scooter if you're not a skater.  All ages are welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Meet at 8:45 AM at the St. Marks River Trailhead

Finish by 12:00 PM at the Main Trailhead, 4778 Woodville Hwy., Tallahassee

Water will be provided at two checkpoints along the trail.
